Word "Kalarw"means sweet sound. Painting is narration of skies filled with sweet sound of birds.
Painting kalraw is done using decorative style of Indian folk art-Kalamkari. Style is originated in Andhra Pradesh, India. Style is known for its intricacy details and limited color palette: white being exposed paper, painting is drawn with black paint and only one other color than red is used to narrate the story. I find this style very challenging. Decorative elements of Kalamkari help me transport my landscapes to the fantasy world.
Meaning of word "kalraw" is chirping sound of the birds.
Painting is custom framed in a wooden frame with acid-free red matt.
